Hi, I'm Alex
I'm a Guild Certified Framer working from my workshop on the outskirts of Malmesbury, Wiltshire offering bespoke picture framing for artists, art lovers and home-loving individuals.
I began my formal picture framing training in 2023, and in October 2025 I achieved Guild Certified Framer status. This is an internationally recognised qualification that recognises both technical competence and professional standards. I’m a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild and continue to develop my skills through ongoing CPD and advanced training.
Alongside framing, I’m also an artist. I understand how personal it can feel to hand your work – or something you care deeply about – to someone else. My approach is grounded in respect for the piece itself, with careful attention to materials and techniques so the frame supports and protects the piece.
Framing for artists
As an artist myself, I understand the importance of presentation – and how much trust it takes to hand your work over to someone else.
I regularly work with artists on individual pieces, exhibitions and ongoing projects, providing consistent, professional framing that supports the work rather than competes with it.
Many artists I work with see thoughtful quality framing not as a final afterthought, but as an investment in how their work is experienced, exhibited and ultimately collected.
Alongside a full framing service, I also offer the supply of high-quality picture frames without glass, ideal for oil and acrylic paintings. These are made to order for studio use, exhibitions or regular repeat work, and can be sent out by courier by arrangement.
